Verve Place is a Foyer run by Your Housing Group for young people aged 16 – 25 years old. It offers a safe place for residents to achieve their aspirations through the scheme’s learning programme. It also provides a number of facilities such as a communal area, learning suite and an IT suite to support the residents development.
We recently intercepted a large amount of perfectly good eggs, milk and yoghurt, we were pleased to be able to redistribute to Verve Place for their breakfast club!
Open Kitchen MCR is dedicated to preventing food from being wasted and uses income from our events and catering service to fund redistribution of food and household items to community organisations and projects like Verve Place who do an outstanding job supporting people in our communities.
Sarah Bousfield, Open Kitchen MCR’s General Manager says ‘it is really important that we support organisations that provide support to young people and it was a brilliant opportunity to provide items for their breakfast club which is popular with its residents’.
